I have watched in awe as God has molded and shaped Heather over the years. Heather accepted Christ in college and has dedicated her life to His glory ever since. Heather trusts Jesus with every area of her life. I have watched over the years as she allowed herself to be conformed to the image of Christ.
Her humility, grace, parenting, self-control, wisdom and love are evident in everything she says, everything she does and the way that she lives her life.
Midwives in Jesus' day would take grapes and squeeze them into the mouths of newborns. This action produced an overwhelming desire in the babies for nourishment. Heather is a grape. Sitting with her, talking to her, having her pray for you, being mentored by her leaves you with an overwhelming desire for more of Jesus.
In August 2009 the Barr families world was changed dramatically. They received, what for most of us, would be the most devastating news a mother can receive - her 12 year old daughter was diagnosed with a rare, aggressive form of bone cancer, Ewings Sarcoma. Heather, confident of her Savior, responded with a strength that is inspiring.
Heather is a dynamic speaker. Heather presents God's Word in such a way that women and men are drawn to Jesus - because they can't help it. No matter your audience, you will be blessed beyond measure when Heather speaks and shares her life and her Lord!
