Jennifer Mothorp, Lead Instructor

Jennifer is a woman full of integrity and the gentleness of God. She worked for years as the right hand to the Children’s Minister at Snellville United Methodist.

While at Snellville, Jennifer had the respect and admiration of, not only the staff, but the congregation as well. Jennifer became one of the most sought-out Bible study teachers because of her desire to handle the Word of God with care and great respect.

Jennifer has the ability to commune with God and gain insight into Scripture in a way that is unparalled in our frantic society. Jennifer’s gentleness and kindness are eveident to all and it is my privilege to work with her for God’s purposes here on earth.

More Information About Jennifer:

Tell us about your family.
My husband, Randy, and I have been married 29 years – I don’t know where the time has gone ( Oh no, I sound like my parents). I have 3 children - Ian is living in the burbs of Washington DC, Jenna Lea is in school to gain a Radiologist degree, Mack is in High School and an active Boy Scout.

Tell us about your journey with God.
Att times a white knuckled roller coaster ride, but He is always faithful even when I am not

What book has impacted your journey the most?
The Bible (sounds corny but it’s true - ) It’s not really a book but rather the Disciple Bible study (it opened up many other books to me) and the wonderful opportunity to hear one of it’s authors Dr. Wilke. In one of my discussions with Dr. Wilke he stressed to me to not get hung up on thinking you have to have something perfect before acting on it, but rather to try and rely on God.

What is your favorite Bible verse?
1 John 4:4 . . .the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

What Biblical character do you most identify with, and why?
The character I appreciate the most and some ways identify with- is David – his humanity stretched/tested Gods’ patience and love. To have humbly journeyed so closely connected and reliant upon God, then to give in to temptation, fall and be forgiven (not without consequence) David gives me much hope!

What has God been showing you?
To have eyes to see and ears to hear.

What top 2 things are on your bucket list?
Seeing the Grand Canyon, traveling overseas.
