How appropriate that the day I met Robin Payne she was teaching a Disciple I class. Initially intimidated by the strong, confident presence, I soon discovered this truly amazing person was to be significant in the lives of so many. Driven by a passionate zeal for scripture and falling in love with Jesus, her journey began for others to know Him.
God unfolded Robin's life one step at a time leading her to lead others, transforming her, moving her ever so close to Him. In the years of her company and friendship, I have witnessed diligence of heart and mind, a fervor and enthusiasm and determination for all to personally know Jesus, and to know God.
Creatively seeking to reach out and equip all, she is devoted to tending to the Bride of Christ with an attitude of excellence and constant forward focus on the Kingdom.
Excellence is Robin’s watchword and drives all that she does in ministry for God, because He deserves nothing less. Robin’s passion for Jesus is not only obvious, but contagious. She will work herself to the bone to do whatever it takes for one more person to know Jesus.
As you study and learn from Robin you begin to feel the same passion she feels and the same sense of urgency. She is real, honest, approachable and open. She moves with the strength of a lion and the gentleness of a lamb. Her gift of teaching and her discernment and compassion for our struggles makes her an effective component in ministry. Jesus lives here. He compels her to move and she responds, "Here I am, Lord. Send me."

I am married to Eddie Payne, a good ol’ boy from Canton, Georgia. Eddie has a servant’s heart and I see Jesus everyday in the way that he serves my daughter and I. Eddie is a writer and has such a tender heart for God. Our children Nathan, Stephen and Amber are all grown.
Tell us about your journey with God.
My journey with God has been ongoing for many years. It started as a test – me testing Him. It moved from there to apathy as I struggled with questions I had. But, one evening God got my attention in a big way and I have been changed ever since. My desire is to serve Him all the days of my life. There are days I can’t believe that God cared enough to come after this stubborn, authority hater and do MAJOR heart surgery. He loves me! Me! WOW!
What book has impacted your journey the most?
The Bible. There is nothing in this world like the feel and smell of a Bible. In Deuteronomy, Moses tells the people to pay attention to the words because “they are your very life”. It’s true. The Bible imparts life and I know that I once was dead, but now I’m alive. When Jesus returns, or comes for me, I want to be found deep in my Bible seeking Him more and more.

What is your favorite Bible verse?
1 John 3:19-20 . . .this then, is how we know we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in His presence whenever our hearts condemn us. For God is greater than our hearts and He knows everything.”
What Biblical character do you most identify with, and why?
I identify with Paul. I feel an incredible sense of urgency that people know Jesus. Like Paul, God did a complete change in my heart. Before knowing Jesus, Paul was “breathing murderous threats against the Christians” but after meeting the risen Lord Jesus, Paul turned his zeal over to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ. I had much the same experience. God took me from a place of great sin and guilt, distrust, arguments and brought me to a wide and spacious place where He is the ruler of my life.
What has God been showing you?
That God deserves nothing but my best in all that I do. I am His ambassador everywhere I go. I need to live a Colossians 3 life so that everything I do "whether in word or deed" I do it all for the Lord. God is a choice we make everyday and we make that choice in our words, our decisions, our thoughts and our actions.
